Dana Hills High from California won its first Division 3 boys title and fifth overall crown in program history with a 42-66 victory against Oakdale High at the CIF State Cross Country Championships at Woodward Park in Fresno. Evan Noonan repeated as individual winner, leading Dana Hills by covering the 5-kilometer layout in 14:35.3, the fastest all-time performance by a Division 3 male athlete. Jayden Hernandez secured sixth in 15:13.7, Logan Harris took 11th in 15:25.9, Oliver Hunter placed 15th in 15:29.8 and Garrett Woodruff earned 18th in 15:33.9 for the Dolphins, who added to their boys state record with an 18th podium finish. Joel Brda grabbed 38th in 15:58.1 and Mike Ayala captured 71st in 16:23.9 for Dana Hills, which last won a state crown in Division 1 in 2009.
